Enjoy The Seasons Like Never Before

Pine Bush, NY 12566

Enjoy the seasons like never before. The Shawangunk Mountains are a beautiful backdrop all year long. The farms, the fields full of wild flowers and wildlife, the colors of the foliage in the autumn, the gorgeous sunsets in the summer months, all the new babies in the spring and the pines covered in a fresh coat of snow creating a wonderland in the winter. All this natural beauty makes living in Pine Bush so very special. Here are some of my favorite local locations with links!!!

Sam’s Point – a quick drive up rt. 52 to Craigsmoor you will find this hidden gem. Sam’s Point is part of Minnewaska State Park . If you grab the Empire Pass you can enjoy unlimited entrance into all the state parks (purchase early in the year to receive a discounted price). This particular park offers amazing views from above, a waterfall, ice caves, hiking trails and a lake. The trails are well taken care of and can get busy on weekends and holidays during the summer months, so go early and avoid peak times.

Lake Minnewaska – the drive alone through Minnewaska State Park is gorgeous. But, the lake is a family favorite. Enjoy cross country skiing trails in the winter, check out the melting frozen lake in the spring, go swimming at the designated beach in the summer months (life guard arrives at 11am) and go leaf peeping in the autumn months. Like most other parks make sure you take out what you brought in. No food, pets or plastic swimmies are allowed at the beach (it is a preserve!). We have been lucky enough to see ducks, salmanders, water snakes and frogs. After working up an appetite and thirst for something fresh and local head to Gardiner Liquid Mercantile for extraordinary libations and a menu full of local farm ingredients.

Pine Bush Main Street – The quaint main street in the village of Pine Bush has something for everyone. Saturday’s in the summer time come explore the Pine Bush Farmer’s Market . You will find local produce, baked goods, cheeses, art and music! Looking to get creative? Pop into Uptiquing and paint some ceramics. Drop in’s welcome! Pine Bush Main Street has no shortage of restaurant options. Check out Nobichon for a fun, always changing menu (BYOB). Crawford Craft offers a great selection of craft beers, a tasty menu and rotating local art. There are many pizzerias in Pine Bush but my personal favorite is Pizza Plus . Pine Bush is also known for its one of a kind UFO Fair ( Yes, it is exactly what you would imagine. Lots of aliens walking around doing fun alien things!). A quick skip and a jump from main street is Angry Orchard , known for their delicious hard ciders. Go for a  brewery tour or purchase tickets to one of their many amazing events.

Pine Bush, NY is a great spot to call home. It has so much to offer and surrounded by some other pretty amazing towns. When you are ready, give me a call so I can show you in person!
