Jackie

This is a story about Jackie.

Jackie has had a tough year, in more ways than I can count. She is rough around the edges. But, like anything in life, with some tender loving care she will shine again. 

Let me tell you more about her. Jackie had a family who loved her very much but as the kids became adults and everyone went their separate ways Jackie’s upkeep became more and more difficult. When mom passed, the kids were left with some tough decisions. It became difficult to see Jackie’s true character and charm as she aged and started to fall apart. It was time to do something. 

It took awhile, and a wrong match or two, but the family finally found someone who saw Jackie’s potential. And, so a new chapter began for her. 

Sounds a bit dramatic right? But, any big “Flip” usually is. If you haven’t figured it out yet, Jackie is a house. A 5 bedroom house built in 1940 and loved for many years by a wonderful family who is now living all over the country. There were tears saying goodbye.  Lots of memories were made in the house.  I represented the new buyer in this story. The moment I was asked to look at Jackie I thought of my client Bonnie, owner of Visionary Real Estate Solutions. Her mother and her own this “flipping” business and I had been working with her for a solid 8 months trying to find the right house. A competitive market is tough on flippers too! When I showed Bonnie (and partners!) the “project” they saw what it could be. With many hiccups along the way, we finally closed on the house and the demolition has begun. 

I plan to continue Jackie’s story on my blog and I hope you will follow along this journey with us! I have never been so excited for before and after pictures….but, we still have a long way to go.
